People from many countries march in support of Palestine and condemn Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip

On October 4, local time, people from many countries held demonstrations to condemn Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip and express solidarity with the Palestinian people.

On Thursday, a massive demonstration in support of Palestinians broke out in the centre of London, where protesters clashed with police in Trafalgar Square.

Protesters:I'm here to protest the ongoing genocide in Gaza. I'm here to protest the massacre of 66,000 Palestinians, which this British Government stands by and does not help them in their struggle for statehood and frees them from oppression, which is complete complicity. I am here to support those who have died and are still being brutally murdered.

Protesters, the descendants of Nazi Holocaust survivors by Caroline Grant:Because I am Jewish, and because I am the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I feel the need to come here and do everything I can to support those who are trying to stop this genocide.

According to London police, at least 442 protesters were arrested during the day's protests.

Large-scale rallies and demonstrations also broke out in Italy and France on the 4th. Protesters expressed solidarity with Palestine and demanded that their government stop cooperating with Israel.

Protesters:To recognize the sacred right of the Palestinian people to live on their own land, I am marching here so that the genocide against the Palestinian people can stop and that Israel can be blockaded. Israel is committing unprecedented crimes.

Protesters:We cannot use other words to describe what is happening in the world. This is genocide, the whole nation is being wiped out in front of our eyes, we see the Holocaust on our phones every day, children and women are being killed.
