In the depths of the grassland, the bell clocked, and the Central European (Central Asia) line of "steel bell" continued to flourish, and the construction of the international transport corridor across the Caspian Sea accelerated. From the Silk Road to the modern hub, five international railway corridors across the territory of Kazakhstan now crossed, and this year the transit volume will reach 33 million tons.

On September 1, a Central European line carrying goods such as automotive accessories and electronics slowly departed from the Alaska Railway Station, marking the 5,000 Central European (Central Asia) line passing through the Alaska Railway this year. Currently, 125 Central European (Central Asia) line passes through the Alaska Railway, covering 21 countries, including Germany, Poland, and more than 200 cargo categories.

Takan Gizatov, Managing Director General of Dostoevsky Central Station, told reporters that thanks to the Belt and Road Initiative and the rapid development of the Central European (Central Asia) line, the volume of freight operations at Dostoevsky Central Station has grown by approximately 20% annually in recent years. In 2024, the volume of shipping at Dostoevsky Central Station has significantly exceeded 2023. In Dostoevsky Land Harbour, Dostoevsky has invested in advanced automated management systems and artificial intelligence applications that can send operating instructions directly to container loading equipment, accurately position the boxes in the station and perform operations.

“In the future, with the reopening of the Dostoevsky-Moint railway line in Haiti, the capacity of the Alaska-Dostoevsky train will also be significantly improved, and we remain optimistic about the continued growth.”

Durkheim is the nearest city of size to the Athens-Cory port, which is home to Ha’s residents who travel every day to the port and work in the border area. In recent years, the population of Durkheim has grown from 40,000 to 50,000. Reporters have seen that Ha’s leading red chain of hamburgers and Pearl Milk Tea stores have been quietly closed, and several star hotels have opened here.

Kazakhstan's "Horgos-Dongmen" dry port is located in the "Horgos-Dongmen" special economic zone in Suzhou, Jet, on the border between China and Kazakhstan. It covers a total area of 129.8 hectares and is the largest dry port in Central Asia. Muslim Kadyrov, the commercial manager of "Horgos-Dongmen" dry port, who has been working here for 8 years, told reporters that the logistics cooperation between Kazakhstan and China has brought tangible benefits to the lives of local residents, and also brought "blowout business opportunities" to the border areas. Multiple preferential policies and tax relief dividends have attracted nearly 100 enterprises to settle in special economic zones, constantly attracting outstanding talents to settle down.

Kadyrov said that since 2015, the number of operating lines of the "Horgos-Dongmen" dry port has increased from the initial 6 to 19, and its business has expanded from a single container reloading to containers, bulk cargo, Commercial vehicles and other sources of goods have been reloaded. As of 2024, the reloading volume of the dry port has increased from 20,000 TEUs to 324,000 TEUs. In the first eight months of this year, the replacement volume of dry ports still maintained rapid growth.

Walking into Aktau Port, the main shipping hub along the Caspian Sea, the reporter saw that nearly half of the containers neatly stacked on three floors came from China. Port workers are methodically loading cargo onto cargo ships docked on the shore with cranes. It is one of the most modern ports in the Caspian Sea and an important part of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor.

Nurguli Zakubova, International Transport Corridor Association’s Secretary-General, told reporters that the international transport corridor began in China, passed through Kazakhstan and the waters of the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and could extend to Turkey and European countries. In the context of the profound transformation of the global logistics pattern and the accelerated redistribution of cargo flows, the importance of international transport lines across the Caspian Sea has risen dramatically, and the construction speed and capacity growth of the corridor are rapidly advancing.

Zakubova presented that in 2023, the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor will only operate 11 container lines throughout the year in the territory of Haiti, compared with 359 in 2024. in 2024, the total shipment of the corridor will be more than 4.5 million tons. In the first eight months of this year, the number of container lines will be 275, up from 61. It is predicted that the transit capacity of the corridor will reach about 10 million tons by 2030.

Zakubova explained that the government is vigorously promoting the diversification of goods transportation capabilities to transit and actively rebuilding the railway for the international transportation corridor across the Caspian Sea.In addition, in June this year, the first phase of the Acquis port container hub project was officially activated, which is equivalent to the addition of modern "tanker" and "scheduling stations" for the international transportation corridor across the Caspian Sea.

Zakupova said that in the future, the corridor will be committed to simplifying and coordinating customs procedures; Vigorously promote the containerization of cargo flow and improve transportation efficiency; And promote the docking and integration of large-scale logistics operation platforms along the route to realize the digitalization of corridor logistics.

Anuar Nemeshev, head of commercial work at Akhva International Maritime Trade Ports, said that the ports on the coast of the Hariri Sea are connected with important logistics hubs such as Dostek and Horgos, forming multiple logistics arteries, playing a crucial role in the development of socio-economic development along the line, building a diversified and resilient Asian and European transport pattern, and making a positive contribution to the construction of a more stable and balanced international trade system.
