The patient undergoing the surgery was a 14-year-old woman who suddenly reversed the left side of the ovarian tumor. Medical team gynecological expert Shao Wen-sheng said that traditional abdominal surgery is traumatic, high risk, and the patient recovery cycle is longer. Given the patient's young age, Shao Wen-sheng decided to implement abdominal surgery to minimize the trauma to the body after a detailed assessment of the patient's condition.

The China medical team overcame practical problems such as relatively backward equipment and technology levels in local hospitals and shortage of surgical instruments, and finally completed the operation in 1.5 hours. The patient bled very little, recovered well after surgery, and was discharged smoothly on the second day after surgery. The superb medical skills of China doctors have won high praise and affirmation from colleagues and patients at Samoa National Hospital.

The 10th batch of China Aid Samoa Medical Team is composed of 10 experts selected by the first hospital of Jilin University, covering cardiovascular, ophthalmological, gynaecological, five-official, severe medicine, Chinese medicine and other fields. Captain Zhong Xian said that since the arrival in Jilin in June this year, the medical team attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with local medical personnel, through coursework training, case discussion and surgical guidance and other medical activities, help local hospitals to improve the level of medical technology, bring health and hope to more patients.
