On behalf of 28 countries, China: immediately, unconditionally and completely cancel!

China urges Western countries to abolish unilateral coercive measures

On October 3, local time, at the meeting of the Third Committee of the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Mr. Fujin, delivered a joint speech on 28 countries close to unilateral coercive measures.

At the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, the international community must remain awake, strengthen unilateral cooperation and resolutely curb this illegal behavior. Developing countries and their people continue to suffer the negative effects of unilateral coercive measures. These unilateral coercive measures violate the principles of sovereign equality and cooperation, interfere with the internal affairs of others, violate the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and are contrary to multilateralism and international law.

Ambassador Fu Cong reiterated his opposition to unilateral coercive measures and called on a few Western countries to listen to the just voice of the international community, implement their commitments to abide by the United Nations Charter and international law, and immediately, unconditionally and completely cancel unilateral coercive measures. Call on Member States, the United Nations system and other international organizations to provide support to sanctioned countries to help them alleviate their difficulties. Under the current circumstances, the international community should strengthen unity and assistance, oppose confrontation and division, jointly respond to global challenges, and promote and protect human rights for all.
