On October 4 local time, Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Ansari said that Qatar welcomed the response of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to US President Trump's "20-point plan" to end the Gaza conflict.

In a social media post, Mr. Assari said that Qatar is calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip in order to safely and quickly release all detainees and end the bloodshed conflict in the Gaza Strip. he also said that Qatar is working with its mediating partner Egypt and coordinated with the United States to continue discussions on the "20-point plan" to ensure finding a way to end the conflict.

Hamas issued a statement on Thursday evening saying that after discussions and consultations with relevant Palestinian factions and international stakeholders, it had submitted a formal response to regional and international mediators on the "20-point plan" proposed by U.S. President Trump to end the conflict in Gaza. The statement said Hamas in principle agreed to release all Israeli detainees and corpses under the "20-point plan" exchange framework and expressed its willingness to negotiate immediately through the mediator to discuss the details of implementation.
