Xinhua Agency reported that U.S. President Trump posted on social media on the 3rd that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) must agree before 18:00 EST on the 5th (6:00 Beijing time on the 6th) to end the Gaza conflict and the "20-point plan" to rebuild Gaza, otherwise it will face "hell."
Trump said the plan was a “last chance” for Hamas and called on the Palestinians to “immediately leave this area that could face greater danger and go to a safer place in the Gaza Strip.”
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement on the evening of the 3rd, saying that after discussions and consultations with relevant Palestinian factions and international parties, it has submitted a formal response to regional and international mediators on the "20-point plan" proposed by US President Trump to end the Gaza conflict.
The statement said that Hamas agreed in principle to release all Israeli detainees and remains within the exchange framework of the "20-point plan", and expressed its willingness to immediately negotiate through mediators to discuss implementation details.
The statement said Hamas agreed to transfer the control of Gaza to a Palestinian agency composed of independent technical bureaucrats, which should be based on national consensus and be supported by the Arab and Islamic States.
Other issues related to the future of Gaza and the broader rights of the Palestinian people will be addressed within the framework of the Palestinian nation’s self-determination, in accordance with international law and relevant international resolutions.
The statement also said that Hamas attaches importance to the efforts made by the international community to end the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, promote humanitarian aid to Gaza, and oppose the occupation of Gaza and the expulsion of the Palestinian people.
On Oct. 3, local time, Trump wrote on social media, “Real Social”, that he believed the other side was ready to lasting peace based on a statement Hamas had just issued.
Trump called on Israel to immediately stop its bombing of Gaza in order to rescue the hostages safely and quickly, and said that the current situation is too dangerous, and relevant details have been discussed. He stressed that this is not only related to Gaza, but also to the peace that the entire Middle East has long pursued.
