Indonesian school collapsed without expansion permits

According to the latest data from the Indonesian National Disaster Relief Agency, since heavy equipment was used to participate in the rescue in the early morning of October 3rd, four bodies have been found at the scene of the school building collapse accident in Shidu Azuo County, East Java Province, Indonesia, all of which have been sent to the hospital for identification and processing. So far, the number of victims caused by the accident has risen to nine.

According to Subandi, the county governor of Poido Azzo County, although the building can accommodate hundreds of students, it has not been granted a building permit in advance. Local architectural experts say that the building was originally designed as a single floor and forced to be designed as three floors, resulting in a two to three-fold increase in load, and the bottom floor is unbearable.
