The head of state reporter was informed on the morning of October 3 local time that another fleet was headed to the Gaza Strip in an attempt to break the Israeli maritime blockade of the region.

The "Freedom Flotilla Alliance" said that the "Conscience" had set off from Italy on the 1st and was carrying about 100 activists on board. The group claimed that "many of them" were medical staff and journalists. The ship joined a fleet of eight other ships that set out from Italy nearly a week ago. According to real-time tracking data, the nine ships are currently located near the Greek island of Crete.

Israeli media said that if the ships continue to approach Gaza, they are expected to be intercepted by the Israeli navy.

Members of the Global Resilience Flotilla carrying humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip include more than 500 volunteers from more than 40 countries on board about 50 ships seeking to break Israel's maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip.
