Mohamed Nazar, a member of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said the group was discussing the "20-point plan" proposed by the United States to end the conflict in Gaza and would soon announce its stance on the plan.

After meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on September 29th, US President Trump announced that Netanyahu had agreed to the "20-point plan" proposed by the US to end the Gaza conflict. Trump said that if Hamas does not accept the plan, the United States will "fully support" Israel's continued military action in the Gaza Strip.
