Israel announces deportation

According to the Israeli Times, on the evening and morning of October 1 and 2, the Israeli Navy attacked a “global cruise ship” attempting to break Israel’s sea blockade of the Gaza Strip. According to the media, the 13th cruise ship of the Israeli Navy embarked on about 40 of the 47 ships of the “global cruise ship”, detaining hundreds of activists. Currently, they are taken to the port of Ashdod and will then be expelled.

According to reports, at least four ships have been stranded at sea due to various technical failures, which are not related to Israeli military actions. The Israeli Navy will also in the future seize activists on these ships or drag those ships back to ports.

According to Reuters, the organizers of the "Global Resilient Fleet" said on Monday that the Israeli military intercepted 39 ships to Gaza carrying rescue supplies and foreign activists including Swedish climate activist Greta Thumberi, with only one remaining ship still sailing to Gaza.

According to Reuters, the "Global Fortitude Fleet" set sail in late August and consists of more than 40 civilian ships, delivering medicine and food to Gaza, and carrying about 500 parliamentarians, lawyers and activists. The fleet's movement across the Mediterranean has attracted international attention, with some countries including Turkey, Spain and Italy sending ships or drones in case their citizens need assistance. The operation triggered multiple warnings from Israel for its return.
