British police classify Manchester attack as a terrorist attack

British police issued a statement on October 2 that they have qualified the attack on a Jewish church in Manchester the same day as a terrorist attack.

The British counter-terrorism police said in a statement that the attack killed three people, including a suspect killed by the police, and three civilians were seriously wounded.

The statement reminded the public to "remain vigilant" and said that the police are mobilizing all resources and will investigate all relevant clues in the next few weeks.

British Prime Minister Starmer issued a statement on the same day saying that he had ordered the deployment of additional police forces to synagogues in Britain.

Earlier on the 2nd, a car collision and knife wounding occurred outside a synagogue in Manchester. Police confirmed that afternoon that the suspect had been shot dead.
