According to Israeli media citing military news reports on October 2, the Israeli army controlled 41 ships during the interception of the "Global Endurance Fleet" in the evening to the morning of October 2, detaining more than 400 people who will be deported.

According to military reports, Israeli naval assault forces, missile fleets, port security forces and others participated in the interception operation, controlling the fleet that carried humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army first boarded six large ships, then controlled small ships, and the entire operation lasted about 12 hours.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his appreciation for the Israeli army's interception of the fleet on the 2nd, saying that the operation prevented dozens of ships from "entering the war zone."

After the interception incident, many countries issued statements condemning Israel's flagrant violation of international law and urging Israel to ensure the safety of people on board and release them immediately. Colombia announced on the 1st that it would expel all Israeli diplomats in the country in response to Israel's detention of two Colombian citizens when it intercepted the "Global Fortitude Fleet" in international waters.

Members of the Global Resistance Fleet from more than 40 countries have sought to break the Israeli maritime blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2007.Israel has indicated that the fleet members are associated with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which the fleet organizers firmly deny.
