Why is he showing kindness at the moment? What trouble is he facing behind his back? Can what he said be implemented?

The ¡°Sweet Words¡± at the Prayer.

On September 25, 2025, China's ambassador to the Philippines, Huang Tian, resigned to meet with President Marcos of the Philippines.

When the two met, Marcos spoke well of praise, saying that Ambassador Huang had done a lot to stabilize China-Philippines relations during his tenure.

In particular, this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between the two countries, which means continuing the friendly relations between our fathers and our country¡¯s leaders.

But the most eye-catching thing is the two words he said.

One sentence indicates that the dispute in the South China Sea cannot define the relationship between the two countries, while the other sentence indicates that they firmly adhere to the "one-China" policy.

Ambassador Huang's response was also quite frank: he thanked the Philippines for its convenience and assistance in his performance of his duties, and agreed that the South China Sea issue should not be allowed to define China-Philippines relations. Both sides should jointly safeguard maritime security and maintain regional peace and tranquility through dialogue and consultation.

However, he also reminded that the Taiwan issue is related to China's sovereignty and territorial integrity and is entirely an internal affair of China. He hopes that the Philippines will abide by its commitments and abide by the one China principle.

China-Philippines relations are neighbouring relations, and cooperation is the mainstream will of the people of the two countries.

In other words, our country has given a step, but it depends on you whether you can go on or not.

Looking at the attitude of Marcos, it can be said that if you judge two people, remember that in the years after he came to power, the South China Sea did not have much trouble.

For example, in the summer of 2025, the Philippines will make endless provocations in Renai Reef and Huangyan Island.

In July, the Philippine Coast Guard's main ship No. 9701 approached our coast guard ship many times on Huangyan Island. Recently, it was only a hundred meters away, which was completely child's play with maritime safety.

On September 16, the Philippines organized more than 10 official ships and forcibly broke into Huangyan Island. Our country's coast police repeatedly shouted and drove them away, even using water cannons.

But their 3014 ship also crashed, eventually shaking, and the responsibility was entirely on the Philippines.

But the problem is, Marcus pushes the responsibility on us after every incident.

Also invited CNN (American cable television news network), The New York Times and other Western media to accompany them, packing themselves as "innocent little white rabbit", living out of the "touch of ceramics".

What's even more exaggerated is that in early September, the Philippines also joined Australia and Canada to conduct so-called joint military exercises in the waters east of Huangyan Island, and helicopters and patrol aircraft joined in the fun.

Why did Marcos suddenly "show kindness"

So how to explain Marcos 'change in attitude?

We need to see what difficulties they are facing in their country.

Why are people so angry?

The bottom line is their flood prevention project, which lost billions of dollars between 2023 and 2025, with actual losses of as much as 1 trillion pesos, equivalent to $18 billion.

Originally, the money was used to build dams and provide drainage, but it was deducted layer by layer. The project was either a "ghost project" or jerry-building.

When Typhoon Weipa came, millions of people were affected, and everyone found that the life-saving money had been greedy.

At the protest site, not only the left-wing organization "New Patriotic Alliance", but also ordinary workers, students, and even the middle class, all shouted to "recover public funds" and "put those involved in the case in prison."

Once out of control, riots broke out near the presidential palace in Manila, police mass arrests, more than 200 people were arrested on the same day, 93 policemen and 50 civilians were wounded, and others were killed in the conflict.

What's even worse is that these things pulled out Marcos' "circle of relatives".

House Speaker Romuyades, his cousin, was also involved in a scandal and eventually had to resign.

The Senate Chairman was also removed.

A national parliament has become a stage for family power struggle.

In this context, he needs a ¡°rescuing grass¡±.

The most common approach is to shift the contradictory focus.

The historical confrontation on Yellowstone Island in 2012 and the 2016 South China Sea arbitration case have all been the same.

Our country's strong rise and strength

In addition to domestic repression, there is an important reason for this rapidly increasing influence in our country.

On September 24, 2025, the Australian Institute of Research released a research report, which clearly stated that China has surpassed the United States, and has become the largest influential partner in Southeast Asia.

The data is intuitive, and out of 11 Southeast Asian countries, we are the top partner in 6 countries.

The reasons behind the influence are also clear.

In the decade from 2015 to 2024, my country's investment in Southeast Asia accounted for 21%, compared with only 13% in the previous decade, when Japan ranked first at that time.

Now, China has become the largest trading partner of almost all Southeast Asian countries, absorbing about 20% of exports and 26% of imports.

The United States has been losing ground in this regard, especially Trump's high tariffs, aid cuts, and tightening immigration policies, which have directly pushed Southeast Asian countries to our side.

Marcos can't turn a blind eye to these. He has a clear heart, and he went against our country, and there was no good end.

Not to mention that we have taken tough countermeasures against their several provocations. Not only did the coast guard refuse to give in, but the People's Liberation Army also released the signal of "courtesy before soldiers" through the 93 military parade.

It can be said that Marcos's "soft statement" in front of our ambassador this time was not a sudden conscience discovery, but forced out by the reality of internal and external difficulties.

But the key question is: is it good to say, can it be done?

If the mouth says cooperation, turn back and go to the island of Yellowstone "touch the ceramics", then it can only prove his "changing face" is only a shameful violation.

For my country, no matter what he says, the key still depends on what he does.

True good-neighborly friendship does not rely on words on appearances, but on actions.
