Israeli police: Detained Gaza aid flotilla volunteers will be deported

△ On October 2, local time, ships from the "Global Tenacity Fleet" arrived at the southern port of Ashdod, Israel. Previously, the ships were intercepted by Israeli forces in the waters off the Gaza Strip.

On October 2, local time, the Israeli police stated that the Israeli Navy had detained more than 250 volunteers on the "Global Fortitude Fleet" trying to deliver humanitarian supplies to the Gaza Strip. These volunteers are currently in Ashdod. The port underwent a "thorough inspection" and will be deported.

Israeli police said that relevant inspections and deportations are still continuing and will continue until late that night until the last ship of the flotilla is disposed of.

According to news from the Israel Defense Forces later that day, about 400 volunteers are currently detained and transferred to Ashdod Port, where they will be expelled from Israel.

Between the evening of 1st and 2nd morning local time, the Israeli Navy continued to intercept the "global robust fleet" attempted to break through the Israeli maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip, with about 500 volunteers on the fleet.
