The U.S. Wall Street Journal on October 1 that the Trump administration has agreed to the U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence agencies to provide intelligence to Ukraine to support Ukraine's long-range missile attacks on energy facilities in Russia.

The report quoted anonymous sources as saying that this will be the first time the Trump administration has assisted Ukraine in carrying out such in-depth strikes, and U.S. officials have also asked NATO allies to provide similar support to Ukraine. Expanding intelligence sharing means that Ukraine can more effectively attack energy infrastructure such as Russian refineries, oil pipelines, and power stations far away from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

U.S. Vice President Vance told the media at the end of September that the White House is considering providing Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range that can cover the Russian capital, Moscow, through European NATO members. The Wall Street Journal reported on October 1 that in addition to the "Tomahawk", the Trump administration is also considering other US-made land-based and air-based missiles with a range of nearly 1000 kilometers, but has not yet decided what specific missile to provide to Uzbekistan.

The report also said that this is a new sign that the Trump administration is increasing its support for Ukraine.
