According to local media reports, the shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the same day, at a commercial complex in the city of Raval, where people were crowded. The dead had been imprisoned several times for crimes such as drug trafficking. Quebec Public Safety Minister Ion LaFrénier said the shooting was associated with organized crime and no innocent people were injured.
