Musk becomes the first person ever to have a personal fortune of $50 billion
IT Home reported on October 2 that on Wednesday, Elon Musk's fortune exceeded the US$500 billion mark for the first time, becoming the first person in history to have a wealth of US$500 billion.
According to the Forbes real-time wealth list, as of Wednesday, Musk topped the list with $499.1 billion at home. Earlier that day, his home was briefly high, reaching the $50 billion threshold for the first time.
In the past month, Tesla’s stock price has risen dramatically and is now at its highest level in history, while the valuation of other start-ups under Musk has also risen dramatically this year.
Last month, Oracle’s stock price rose sharply, and its CEO Larry Ellison surpassed Musk for a short time to become the world’s richest.
In December last year, Musk became the first rich man to surpass $40 billion, now his worth is $15 billion higher than the second-ranked Larry Ellison, and the world's first trillionaire has gone halfway.
If Musk can fully receive Tesla's new salary plan, he is expected to become the world's first trillion-dollar millionaire. Last month, Tesla submitted a preliminary proxy statement to the securities regulator to draw up the "2025 CEO Performance Reward Plan", which is yet to be approved by shareholders. The reward plan sets a series of performance milestones that Musk needs to achieve before he can fully unlock the salary plan.
