According to German news channel website on September 30, U.S. President Donald Trump mobilized senior U.S. military officers that day to prepare them for a “war” within the U.S. Trump told senior officers that the U.S. is in an “internal war.” He accused “radical left-wing Democrats” of allowing crime and immigration to flow into the cities under its jurisdiction, such as San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.
Trump said the military must fight "internal enemies". He said that the U.S. government must intervene before the situation gets out of control, and the military should play a "big role" in this regard. Trump has sent troops to multiple U.S. cities ruled by Democrats.
According to reports, Trump and U.S. Defense Secretary Hagerseth want to ideologically reposition the U.S. military. Hagerseth announced the cancellation of all equality and anti-discrimination projects. Trump added: "We are re-awakening the warrior spirit."
It can be seen from the video at the venue that both Hegseth and Trump paused and waited for applause during their speeches, but nothing was received. The Washington Post reported that Trump spoke for more than an hour, but most of the time he gained only silence from the audience.
