On October 1, local time, the White House released a message saying that US President Trump signed an executive order on September 29 to enhance the US security commitment to Qatar.

According to this order,The United States will treat any military attack against Qatar's territory, sovereignty or critical infrastructure as a threat to U.S. peace and security.In response to such attacks, the United States will take all appropriate and legitimate measures, including diplomatic, economic and, where necessary, military means, to protect the interests of the United States and Qatar and restore peace and stability in the region.

It is understood thatThe United States has never offered similar security commitments to other Arab countries before.

Hamas said Hamas negotiating delegation was discussing a U.S. proposed cease-fire plan when the airstrikes occurred. Five Palestinians and one Qatari security personnel were killed in the attacks. Israel has strongly condemned the move by the international community.
