The Turkish president is right. If Jews are allowed to massacre Palestinian people, and the United Nations
The Turkish President is right. If the Jews are allowed to slaughter Palestinian people while the United Nations remains silent and does nothing, what use do the countries of the world need the United Nations? Wasn't the United Nations founded because many countries in the world defeated Nazism and Japanese militarism?

After the end of World War II in 1945, the tragedy of the Nazi massacre of Jews was revealed, Japanese militarism also committed countless murders in Asia, and countries around the world feared that this would happen again, and signed the Charter of the United Nations and founded the United Nations.

It is clearly stated in the Charter that its purpose is to maintain international peace, stop acts of aggression, and protect the equal rights of people of all countries. At that time, when the 51 founding countries signed it, they must have thought about who would bully the weak and slaughter civilians in the future, and the United Nations could stand up and take care of it.

As the earliest country to be invaded, China was also the first to sign the Charter, hoping for a place where justice can be upheld.

But now the Palestinian conflict has lasted for 600 days, and the people of Gaza suffer more crimes than many of the conflict areas of the year. The UN agency specialized in Palestinian refugees has estimated that by the end of May 2025, more than 63,000 people will be killed and disappeared in Gaza, including 1,80,000 children, and one in three deaths.

Another 12,400 women were killed, 1,589 doctors and nurses were killed, and even those who saved the wounded and dying could not be saved.

Hospitals were also crushed, 82 medical centers were completely destroyed, 70% of hospitals could not operate, the rest of the hospitals had no medication, doctors could only use salt water and clothes to the injured, more than 4,700 people with amputations, of which 18% were children, these children had to drag their legs through their lives.

Homes and schools did not escape either. 210,000 houses were destroyed, and 280,000 families were homeless and could only live in tents. However, even 113,000 tents were destroyed. 149 schools were completely lost, 369 were damaged, 13,000 students died, and children would not even have a place to study in the future.

The crops in the land were also destroyed, 92 percent of the farmland and 85 percent of the greenhouses were wiped out, the annual production of vegetables fell from more than 400,000 tons to just 490,000 tons, and the people could not even eat, and the UN warned of a famine.

In the face of such a disastrous situation, the United Nations should have stood out to stop, but it is not enough to actually do. The Security Council, which can really manage, many times wanted to pass a cease-fire resolution, failed because the United States vetoed. In June 2025, the Security Council again voted to allow both sides to immediately cease the fire, as a result, the United States voted against the resolution directly.

Later, the United Nations General Assembly held an emergency meeting. 149 countries were in favor of a ceasefire, but only 12 opposed it. However, the UN General Assembly resolution was not binding, and Israel did not take it seriously. It was time to bomb it or not.

In September, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution with 142 votes in favor, allowing Israel to implement the "two-state solution." However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly said that he did not buy it and went on to build 12 new settlements in the West Bank. This clearly violated previous United Nations resolutions.

To know when the United Nations was founded, just to prevent the Nazi massacre from repeating, but what is the practice of Israel now, what is different from the Nazi persecution of civilians at the time?

The international community can't stand it anymore. The European Union has imposed sanctions, raised taxes on 5.8 billion euros of Israeli goods, frozen the assets of their two ministers, and suspended aid funds. If Spain directly embargoes arms, France will recognize Palestine as a country.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan also signed a defense agreement, saying that whoever attacks each other is equivalent to attacking two countries. Pakistan has a nuclear bomb to support Palestine. These countries are all acting on their own, but the United Nations, which should have taken the lead, cannot do anything because of the constraints of major countries.

After the defeat of the Nazis, the whole world looked to the United Nations as a barrier to peace, but now the barrier leaks such a big hole. 63,000 lives have been lost, so many children and women have been killed, and so many homes have been destroyed. If the United Nations cannot even promote a ceasefire and protect civilians, what is the need to talk about maintaining peace? What else can we talk about stopping aggression?

If the countries that signed the charter in those days saw what it is now, they would have to ask what the use of this organization is.

As the Turkish president has said, if this massacre continued, the United Nations would really lose its meaning of existence, after all, its original intention was to prevent its people from being subjected to the crime of war and massacre.
