On September 30, Maldives President Muiz said that Maldives are willing to further deepen cooperation with China in various fields to jointly build a sustainable and prosperous future.

He attended the 76th anniversary and Mid-Autumn reception held by the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives on the same day. Muiz said that China is one of the most dynamic and influential countries today and has achieved remarkable achievements in poverty reduction, technology and infrastructure construction, and that China is not only an important partner of the Maldives, but also a trustworthy friend.

He said that Malaysia appreciates China's commitment to multilateralism, its safeguarding of the rights of developing countries, and its efforts with Malaysia to build a mutually beneficial and win-win world for countries, large and small. "The friendship between Malaysia and China is as long as the ocean and as long as the stars. On the same day, Muiz attended the reception with Vice President Latiff, several Maldives cabinet ministers, lawmakers, friends from all walks of life and the Malaysian mission, as well as 250 representatives of Chinese-owned enterprises and Chinese citizens.
