According to the Manila Bulletin, the death toll from the Cebu earthquake rose to 61. According to reports, a report released by the Cebu Provincial Disaster Reduction Office at 8 a.m. on October 1 showed that the earthquake killed 27 people in Borg City and 22 people in San Remisio Town.
