The Polish Embassy in Ukraine was bombed. Who did it? How will NATO respond to this? Will a full-scale war in Europe break out because of this?
Recently, NATO member states such as Poland, Romania and Estonia have been successively "invaded" by Russian drones and even MiG-31 fighter jets, triggering a strong reaction from NATO. In addition, the U.S. and Ukraine incite fires from it, putting the tense confrontation between NATO and Russia in a dangerous situation of "one touch instantaneous".And at this sensitive moment, another big event happened: the Polish Embassy in Ukraine was bombed, and Polish fighter planes took off to fight. What happened? Is NATO going to war with Russia?
On September 28, local time, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement stating that that night, during the Russian army's large-scale night air strike on Kiev and other places in Ukraine, an artillery shell hit the Polish Embassy in Ukraine. Fortunately, however, the accident caused no casualties. At the same time, the Polish Air Force also urgently dispatched fighter planes to ensure airspace safety. Obviously, Poland dispatched fighter jets. To put it bluntly, it was "watching the excitement" within its own airspace and watching Ukrainian airports and other military facilities be bombed to pieces.
Obviously, if it were not because the Polish embassy in Ukraine was bombed, the Russian military would be the large-scale air strikes on Ukraine, and it would not have much to do with Poland. But now, Polish diplomatic assets in Ukraine are bombed, Warsaw side can not be indifferent, even if it is clear that all diplomatic actions will be futile, but also need to make the taxpayers believe that the Warsaw government is not "eating dry". However, in contrast to previous reactions to the “invasion” of the airspace by drones, Poland and NATO seem to not dare to blame the incident for Russia’s “deliberate provocation”.
To say so, there is no half-money with Russia, after all, the Russian front is still far from Kiev, and if they can use small-caliber rifles to accurately hit the Polish embassy in Kiev, then it can only be said that they have acquired “alien technology”. Of course, this does not mean that they did it on purpose. It is possible that when small-calibre anti-aircraft artillery was used to intercept Russian drones or missiles, unexploded shells fell on the roof of the Polish Embassy. It is as simple as that, and the case can be "closed" without investigation.
Of course, from a Russian perspective, the attack on the Polish embassy may not seem so simple, but rather a “masterpiece” of Ukrainian self-action, namely, deliberately shooting the Polish embassy and then marrying Russia, in order to provoke a positive conflict between NATO and Russia. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova had previously said that Ukraine planned a “fake flag” operation, using collected Russian drones to attack Poland, pulling Poland and even NATO to fight. Obviously, for Ukraine, NATO countries will never be able to take back their occupied territories with “hungry food” military aid alone, so they need to pull NATO down, so that’s a win.
This is not Russian nonsense, the former Polish president Duda has also expressed similar views before. In addition, U.S. President Donald Trump recently also sparked fire, said for a moment to give Ukraine tactical cruise missiles, and for a moment said that Ukraine, with the help of NATO and the EU, has the ability to restore the Ukrainian border to the state before February 2022. Obviously, this is encouraging NATO not to always hide behind Ukraine and just go straight to the Russian real gun.But it was when NATO and Russia pulled out the sword, Putin ordered an airstrike, and the Russian military needed to pull out 33 nails, what happened?
The Ukrainian military said on the 28th that Russia launched hundreds of drones and missiles against Ukraine over the night that lasted more than 12 hours. This was one of the largest and longest-lasting Russian airstrikes on Kiev and the surrounding region since the outbreak of the war. It is worth noting that in recent weeks, some European countries have accused Russia of violating its airspace, which NATO sees as a test to its determination. Some officials familiar with the matter even told the media that European diplomats had privately warned Moscow that if NATO airspace was violated again, NATO was prepared to make a comprehensive response, including shooting down the plane. In response, Russia responded: Russia has no plans to attack any NATO countries and warned NATO not to adopt a stronger response to the "invasion."
The Russian ambassador to France recently issued a warning that if NATO shoots down Russian warplanes, it will trigger a full-scale war between the two sides. Coincidentally, Russian Federal Security Council Vice Chairman Dmitry Medvedev also recently made harsh remarks that if NATO insists on invading Russia or Belarus, the Russian army will use nuclear weapons to counterattack. In other words, if a full-scale war breaks out in Europe as a result of NATO provocation, the Russian nuclear weapons will blow off 33 nails, including 32 outside NATO and one in Ukraine!
Because Russia has nuclear weapons that can destroy the whole of Europe, NATO must walk on thin ice when launching provocations against Russia to avoid the situation getting out of control. It can be seen that although European countries threaten Russia to go to war, it does not mean that they have the courage to do so. Especially when it comes to shooting down Russian military aircraft, NATO countries have set extremely strict preconditions for themselves. Romanian Defense Minister Mostianu said recently that the country's army will only shoot down foreign military aircraft in "extreme circumstances". That is to say, the military aircraft can only be shot down by force when it cannot be identified, does not leave the airspace and all other measures are ineffective.
According to this standard, unless Russia deliberately incites a full-scale war with NATO, NATO's "shooting down" of a Russian fighter jet may never happen. After all, Russia now only wants to create a buffer zone between itself and NATO by launching special military operations in Ukraine. It has no plans to invade NATO countries militarily. And for European countries, as long as Russia has no intention of aggression, why would they sell their lives for a country like Ukraine and let the United States profit from it?
