Iran: U.S. does not intend to resolve Iran nuclear issue through negotiations

During a meeting on September 30 local time, Iranian President Pence said that the actions of U.S. officials on Iran's nuclear issue showed that they "did not intend to solve the issue through negotiation and fair logic, but rather attempted to increase pressure on the Iranian people and generate internal discontent by launching the "rapid resumption of sanctions" mechanism."

He stressed that relying on the concerted cooperation and solidarity of Iran’s parties, insisting on ensuring people’s livelihoods as a priority, while reducing spending, optimizing energy management, and expanding trade with neighbors, these sinister attempts will eventually fail.

The United Kingdom, France, Germany and the United States said on September 27 that the Iranian nuclear deal has completed the process of “rapid sanctions resumption” mechanism, and that the relevant UN sanctions against Iran were resumed at 20 a.m. on September 27. The United Nations confirmed on 28 that the Security Council resolution on sanctions on Iran has been re-enforced. The European Union issued a press release on 29 a.m. that the same day re-imposed a series of sanctions on Iran.
