Xinhua News Agency, Cairo, September 29 (Reporter Yao Bing) Egypt's Cairo News TV reported on the 29th that Egypt and Qatar handed over the U.S. plan for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and Hamas confirmed that it was "actively and objectively" studying the plan.

A source from the Egyptian security department confirmed to Xinhua news agency reporters that the Egyptian delegation traveled to Qatar on the same day to submit to Hamas leaders the proposal of U.S. President Trump on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, awaiting Hamas leaders' response and then handed over to both the United States and Israel.

The source said that Egypt and other Arab countries have made some changes to the plan proposed by the United States.
