The US Business Insider News Network recently published a report entitled ¡°Trump¡¯s Three Difficulties in the Economy,¡± according to which President Trump and the American people are in an economic ¡°Trilemma¡± and want to revitalize the U.S. manufacturing industry while reducing immigration and lowering prices.

The U.S. could try to open more factories to produce low-cost products or expensive high-tech products, but cutting off the flow of overseas workers would pose challenges to the staff of these factories. It may be possible to strictly restrict immigration and make the best efforts through tariffs to build factories in the U.S., but this may push up prices. Enterprises can continue to produce products at lower prices abroad, especially if trade policies are relaxed, which will make consumers happy.

According to the report, for foreign companies that want to transfer part of their business to the United States, the most obvious obstacle is the Trump administration's immigration crackdown policy. For example, in early September, federal law enforcement agencies conducted an immigration raid on a factory of South Korea's Hyundai Motor in the United States, arresting and detaining 475 workers. The incident sparked widespread concerns about the U.S. attracting foreign investment.

The report also analyzes that sudden restrictions on the supply of workers may be more harmful than beneficial. In the long run, it is difficult to fill these positions with people born in the U.S. First, aging the U.S. population means fewer and fewer people are able to do these jobs, and young American workers do not struggle to find jobs in the manufacturing industry.
