According to the relevant provisions of the Iranian nuclear deal and Security Council Resolution 2231, the United Nations sanctions against Iran before 2015 have returned to effect. What sanctions against Iraq have Europe and the United States forcibly activated? Where will the Iranian nuclear issue go?

The Security Council re-enacted six resolutions on sanctions against Iran, which include:Arms embargo; ban on uranium enrichment and post-processing activities; ban on launches of ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons; ban on the transfer or assistance of ballistic missile technology to Iran; global asset freezing and travel bans on Iranian individuals and entities concerned; and authorization of countries to check whether goods from Iranian state-owned airlines and shipping companies contain prohibited goods.

Hassan Beheshtipur, an Iranian international analyst, said that the core purpose of the forcibly resuming sanctions against Iran by the United States and Europe is to take "hostile actions" against Iran under the banner of implementing Security Council resolutions. Regarding the impact of the forced resumption of sanctions against Iran by Europe and the United States, Iranian international expert Mirkassim Momeni believes that the Iranian economy may suffer a short-term impact, but it will not be "decisively" affected, because the United States has "almost exhausted" unilateral sanctions against Iran before.

Restoring sanctions on Iraq or causing military conflict out of control

Analysts believe that after the resumption of sanctions on Iraq, the relationship between Europe and the United States and Iran on the nuclear issue has become more tense, and the likelihood of a military conflict has also greatly increased.

The first channel is negotiations with the United States. In the first half of this year, Iran and the United States had already held four rounds of negotiations, and when the fifth round of negotiations was being prepared, Israel attacked Iran's nuclear facilities on June 13th. Since then, the negotiations between Iran and the United States have been interrupted.

The second channel is Iran and the three Anglo-German countries to start negotiations on the nuclear issue, but this time after the resumption of UN sanctions on Iran, Iran has shown that it is no longer negotiating with the Anglo-German three countries, to exclude the Anglo-German three countries from negotiations on the nuclear issue.

The third channel is that Iran was also in talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency in August this year and reached a preliminary agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency to agree that the International Atomic Energy Agency would return to Iran for verification. But this time after the United Nations sanctions were resumed, Iran said it would interrupt cooperation and negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency. Therefore, so far, the three channels of negotiations have been stopped. This means that the likelihood of military conflict in the future on nuclear issues has greatly increased.

Since Israel launched a military strike on Iran on June 13, Israel has threatened Iran, and Israel will launch a military strike on Iran as long as Iran engages in any nuclear activity in the future. But Iran also says that Iran, as a sovereign state, has the right to engage in civilian nuclear activities.
