The president retaliated against political enemies, the two parties escalated, Trump posted four consecutive "celebrations" in the eyes of being prosecuted

All information is provided in the article and at the end.

U.S. politics once again fell into a fierce confrontation, with former FBI director James Comey recently sued by the Federal Grand Jury, and President Trump did not hide his joy, and in a matter of hours, Trump posted four posts on social media calling Comey "dirty policeman" and "foolish man" and declaring "justice is finally brought."

This high-profile case stems from Trump's long-standing grievances against Komi. In 2017, Komi, as the director of the FBI, led the investigation of Trump's "TongRumen", and was then dismissed by Trump. Now Komi is charged with obstructing justice and making false statements to Congress.

The indictment accuses him of lying at the Senate Justice Committee hearing in September 2020, denying that he had authorized leaking information to the media about Trump's "Russian Door" investigation, an allegation that contradicts the testimony of Comey's deputy Andrew McCabe, who admitted Comey had authorized him to leak information to the media.

The case, however, is far more complicated than it appears to be on the surface, with Virginia’s East District federal prosecutor, Eric Seibert,ly forced to resign a week before Comey’s prosecution for refusing to prosecute Trump’s political opponent in the absence of sufficient evidence.

Trump then appointed his former personal lawyer, Lindsay Halligan, to take over the position. Although she lacked any prosecutorial experience, Halligan personally filed an indictment against Komi to the grand jury only four days after taking office.

After Sibert was forced to resign, Trump posted public messages directly to Attorney General Bondy on social media, calling for prosecution against Comey, New York State Attorney General Letizia James, and Democratic Senator Adam Shiff.

Trump wrote: "They impeached me twice and prosecuted me five times! There is no reason for this. Justice must be done, and it must be done now!!!" This demand ended with Komi being indicted a few days later.

Haligan’s prosecution before the Grand Jury was carried out alone, without any professional prosecutor’s accompaniment: this was extremely rare in the court proceedings, with professional prosecutors in the officely submitting memoirs to Haligan, arguing that there were insufficient “possible grounds” for Comey’s case to support the prosecution, and the Grand Jury rejected Haligan’s third allegation, reflecting the legal basis of the case itself that may be unstable.

Comey's reaction after learning of the indictment was equally striking. He posted on social media: "My family and I have known for years that there is a price to fighting Trump, but we can't imagine ourselves living any other way. We don't live on our knees."

He insisted that he was "innocent" and expressed "heartbreaking" for U.S. justice, and Comey's son-in-law, Virginia's East District federal prosecutor Edwards, filed his resignation to Haligan after Comey was prosecuted, saying it was "to fulfill his oaths to the Constitution and the country."

Trump himself told reporters after Comey was prosecuted that he expected more political opponents to be prosecuted in the future, and when asked whether he would not worry that the future Democratic president would also retaliate against his officials in the same way, Trump replied: "They have been chasing me for 4 years...it's not revenge, but justice, and you can't let this happen.

This is just part of the Trump administration’s series of actions aimed at political opponents, and since taking office in January, Trump has revoked security permits for people including former President Biden, former Vice President Harris and Hillary Clinton, and dismissed several prosecutors who had been involved in his investigation.

During the first 100 days of his second term, Trump has used various government powers to take action against more than 100 individuals and organizations seen as adversaries, including launching criminal investigations, revoking security licenses and dismissing employees.

Komi's indictment reflects the grim reality of political polarization in the United States. When power is used to pursue political opponents instead of legal principles, the foundation of the * system will be shaken.

Regardless of the right-wing stance, ining the independence of the judiciary and the rule of law should be the common responsibility of all Americans, looking forward to the future American politics to get out of the cycle of retaliation and regain the space for rational dialogue and cooperation, after all, a healthy democracy should not be at the expense of "bloody movement".
