Iranian Foreign Minister Al-Aqsa said in a speech to the Security Council on September 26 that the British-German "rapid resumption" mechanism was legally ineffective, politically reckless and procedural faults. He announced at a press conference that if sanctions were resumed on September 9, the agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency would be terminated.
