Reporters learned from the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration that on September 27, local time, at the 42nd International Civil Aviation Organization conference,China re-elected a member of the Council¡£ This is the eighth time since 2004 that China has been elected as a first-class member of the ICAO Council.

The ICAO Council is a permanent body accountable to the ICAO Assembly, and its three categories of members are elected by the vote of each member state. Among them, the first category of members is composed of countries that occupy a dominant position in air transport.
