On September 27, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov warned in a speech at the General Assembly of the United Nations that Israel was using force against Palestinians illegally, and also against Iran, Qatar, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and other countries, trying to "explode" the entire Middle East.

Lavrov said that Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip are suffering from bombing and famine, hospitals and schools are destroyed, hundreds of thousands are displaced, and there is no reason for Israel to collectively punish Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Lavrov also said that Israel's attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities under the International Atomic Energy Agency's guarantee, as well as the attacks on the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) delegation negotiating in Doha, Qatar, should be condemned.
