According to the Iranian news agency, Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary Ali Larijani said on Monday that Tehran was fully prepared to respond to any Israeli military action, warning that such "irrational actions" would receive a strong and decisive response from Iran.

According to reports, Larijani met with Lebanese National Assembly Speaker Nabi Beri in Beirut, Lebanon¡¯s capital, and at a press conference after the meeting, he dismissed speculation about Israel¡¯s possible attacks on Iran, saying that we have been prepared for all situations, but I think Israel will not take unreasonable action if they launch an attack, we will resolutely counter it.¡±

On September 26, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke at the 80th General Debate of the UN General Assembly to justify Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip and many countries in the Middle East.
