According to foreign media reports quoted by China News Network, Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly on the 26th local time, telling world leaders about Pakistan's conflict experience with India in May.
Sharif said his warning in the 2024 General Assembly speech that Pakistan would take decisive action against "external aggression" had now proved to be correct. he claimed that Pakistan suffered "unreasonable aggression" from India earlier this year and said Pakistan had made a fateful response.
He said, "The enemy came with arrogance, and we made them retreat disgraced and bloody."
"When our territorial integrity was violated, our forces carried out operations with amazing professionalism, repelling enemy attacks and turning seven Indian warplanes to scrap metal." Sharif said.
The Indian side has severely rejected Sharif's speech at the UN General Assembly, calling his remarks "absurd dramatic performances" and claiming that no matter how dramatic it may be, the facts cannot be covered up. Indian diplomat Petar Garrot rejected Pakistan in exercising his defence.
On April 22nd this year, a shooting incident occurred in Indian-controlled Kashmir, killing at least 26 people, most of them Indian tourists. India identified Pakistan as involved in the shooting incident, and the next day announced a series of measures to "downgrade" India-Pakistan relations.
Islamabad denied the allegations and said it was willing to cooperate with the international investigation, but was rejected by New Delhi. Pakistan subsequently announced a series of countermeasures against India.
The two countries engaged in a four-day conflict involving missiles, drones and fighter jets. Indian Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan directly admitted for the first time in an interview at shangri-la dialogue Conference on May 31st that Indian fighter planes were shot down in the India-Pakistan conflict, but denied that Pakistan shot down six fighter planes.
