Governor of Oregon: Trump's sending troops to the local area is an abuse of power

In response to the statement of U.S. President Trump on September 27 announced that he will send troops to the city of Portland, Oregon, the governor of Oregon, Tina Kottke said that the security situation in Portland was normal, and Trump sent troops to the city was an abuse of office.

Kotke held a press conference on the same day, saying that he had had a "direct dialogue" with Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Noam. "I have made it very clear that the city of Portland and the state of Oregon believe in the rule of law and have the ability to handle the public safety needs in our own place. There is no insurgency here. There is no threat to national security," she said.

Kurtke said the state did not receive any information about the reasons or purposes of the military operation, and Trump did not provide a timetable for sending troops.

The mayor of Portland, Keith Wilson, said at a news conference that day: “We don’t need any intervention, this is not a military target.”

Trump announced on the 27th that he would send troops to the city of Portland, Oregon, in the northwest of the United States to counter "domestic terrorists".
