On this day, 89 years ago, on April 25, 1936 (March 5, 1936, the Lunar Calendar), the Communist Party of China proposed the establishment of the Anti-Japanese People's Front. On April 25, 1936, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the "Declaration on the Establishment of the Anti-Japanese People's Front for All Political Parties and Various Groups across the Country." Suggestion to all political parties across the country: "Create an anti-Japanese People's Front to resist the inroads of Japanese imperialist bandits and oppose the insane and shameless behavior of traitors and traitors." He also proposed the following conditions as a program for joint action: (1) Stop all civil wars and unite to resist Japan and defeat rebels. (2)The National Red Army and the National Navy, Army and Air Force concentrated in North China to fight against Japan. (3)Convene the National Anti-Japanese and National Salvation Congress to organize the national defense government and the Anti-Japanese Coalition Forces. (4)Complete freedom of speech, assembly, association, publication, and belief, and release all political prisoners. (5)Implement diplomatic openness. (6)Unite the nations and countries in the world that treat us equally. For the first time, the declaration included the Kuomintang in the Anti-Japanese National United Front and no longer mentioned the overthrow of Chiang Kai-shek.
