U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that at the request of Secretary of Homeland Security Noam, he had ordered Defense Secretary Hertz to send all necessary forces to the U.S. city of Portland to protect the ¡°conflict-affected¡± Portland as well as the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities.

Previously, the Trump administration has deployed National Guard troops to Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Memphis.
