On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Labour Party, the DPRK decided to implement amnesty.The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Congress of the DPRK issued a relevant decree on September 26.The decree stated that amnesty was applied to convicted persons on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Labour Party.
Amnesty will be officially implemented from October 1, 2025.The North Korean Cabinet and relevant agencies will take measures to properly accommodate the work and life of those who have been released.
