Today, 129 years ago, on January 9, 1896, (November 25, 1895) the famous bridge expert Muth Yilot was born. Muth Yilot was one of the founders of China's famous bridge expert, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and one of the founders of China's modern bridge engineering, Jiangsu Tianjin people. In the 1930s, he built the first two-purpose railway bridge on the Jiangsu River designed by the Chinese people themselves, ending the history of the steel bridge on the China River built by foreigners. He dedicated himself to the scientific research, education and engineering construction of bridges, and trained a large number of bridge engineering talent for the country. In 1989, Muth Yilot died in Beijing.
