On March 8, 1952, my government issued a statement condemning the United States for using bacterial weapons
On this day, 73 years ago, March 8, 1952 (February 13, 1952 in the lunar calendar), my government issued a statement condemning the use of bacterial weapons by the United States. On March 8, 1952, Zhou Enlai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, issued a "Statement of Seriously Protesting the U.S. Government's Use of Bacteriological Weapons to Kill China People and Violate China's Airspace." The "Statement" pointed out: Since the U.S. aggression army launched a large-scale bacterial warfare in North Korea on January 28, 1952, from February 29 to March 5, it invaded the northeastern airspace of my country with 68 batches of military aircraft and 448 sorties. It also scattered a large number of bacteria-spreading insects in Fushun, Xinmin, Andong, Kuandian, Linjiang and other places, and bombed and strafed the Linjiang and Changdian Estuary areas. The Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China has lodged a serious protest against this most barbaric and brutal act of aggression by the U.S. government. It also announced that all U.S. Air Force personnel who invaded China's airspace and used bacterial weapons would be dealt with as war criminals once captured. At the same time, it stated that the U.S. government should bear full responsibility for all consequences caused by violating our country's airspace, using bacterial weapons, indiscriminate bombing and shooting, and torturing of China people.
