A spokesman for the Thai army said that Cambodia frequently led the ASEAN temporary observer mission to the area for inspection, so it was speculated that this incident was a "deliberate provocation" with the intention of forcing the Thai army to fire or take an offensive, and then submitted it to the ASEAN temporary observer mission as evidence to accuse the Thai side of violating the ceasefire measures.
A Thai Army spokesman said that as of now,Thailand has not received any reports of casualties.
