On the afternoon of March 8, 2004, the members of the Iraqi Interim Governing Council officially signed the Iraqi Interim Constitution in Baghdad. This is the first Iraqi Interim Fundamental Law born after the Iraq War, paving the way for the Iraqis to take over power on June 30, 2004 according to the established plan.
