Du Fu, the word Yu Mei. Originally from Xiangyang. Born in Gongxian County on February 12, 712 AD (the first day of the first month of the first year of Taiji in the Tang Dynasty). In the late Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, he failed to pass the Jinshi examination and wandered around various places.

In 746, he entered Chang'an and led the right guard to join the army. During the Anshi Rebellion, the An Lushan army fell into Chang'an, and Du Fu fled to Fengxiang and defected to Suzong of the Tang Dynasty, where he served as the left guard. After recovering Chang'an, he returned to Beijing with Suzong. After witnessing the corruption of the imperial court and the suffering of the people, he soon abandoned the official and entered Shu, and built a thatched cottage next to Huanhua River in Chengdu, which was called the Watering Cottage. Once served as a staff officer in the strict martial curtain of the Jiannan Jiedu envoy, and was a foreign man in the inspection department of the school, so it was called the "Du Gong Department".

In his later years, he left Sichuan with his family and died of illness on the way to Xiangjiang River in 770. He is the author of "Du Gongbu Collection". Du Fu is good at ancient styles and regular poems, and his styles are diverse. His poems show the historical process of the Tang Dynasty from prosperity to decline and are known as the "Poetry Saint."
