During the Anti-Japanese War, Comrade Qian Zhiguang successively served as the director of the Eighth Route Army, the New Fourth Army in Wuhan and Nanjing, and the Eighteenth Group Army in Chongqing. In 1944, he served as a member of the Chongqing Working Committee of the Communist Party of China. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945, he served as a member of the Southern Bureau of the Communist Party of China (later referred to as the Chongqing Bureau), a member of the Nanjing Bureau of the Communist Party of China and a deputy secretary of the Finance Committee, and the director of the general office of the Nanjing Communist Party Delegation. Under the direct leadership of Comrade Zhou Enlai and Dong Biwu, he made fruitful efforts to develop a united front, unite progressive forces, wage tit-for-tat struggles with the Kuomintang authorities, send military supplies and revolutionary cadres to the liberated areas, and strengthen ties with overseas Chinese, in order to win the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. During the Liberation War, he was sent by the Party Central Committee to Hong Kong to engage in economic work, founded China Resources Corporation and served as chairperson, and During this period, he was instructed by the Central Committee to secretly transport a group of famous democratic parties and patriots who were retained in Hong Kong, such as Li Jishen, Shen Junru, Huang Yanpei, and Guo Moruo, to the Liberated Areas to participate in the preparation of the new political consultation conference led by our party, which made positive contributions to the establishment of New China. After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, he served as a member of the Finance and Economics Committee of the State Council, participated in leading the economic recovery of New China, and served as Vice Minister and Party Secretary of the Ministry of Textile Industry. In 1970, the Ministry of Textile, First Light and Second Light were merged to form the Ministry of Light Industry. He served as Minister and Party Secretary. In 1978, after the Textile and Light Industry Division, he served as Minister of the Ministry of Textile Industry and Party Secretary. In 1981, Comrade Qian Zhiguang has made significant contributions on the economic front of our country and is one of the main leaders of the textile industry in New China.
