On January 6, 1941, the National Party forced the National Military Committee of the People's Republic of China to force the New Four Armies and an Eighth Route Army to resist the New Four Armies and an Eighth Route Army to withdraw all of them north of the Yellow River in a month. On October 19, 1940, the Chinese Communist Party rejected this unreasonable demand and promised to move the New Four Armies to Jiangsu in the name of the National Military Committee of the People's Republic of China. On January 4, 1941, the New Four Armies and an Eighth Route Army Division of the People's Republic of China forced the New Four Armies and an Eighth Route Army to withdraw all of them north of the Yellow River in a month.
