On February 5, 1940, the National Government issued an order granting Ramu Denzhu to succeed as the 14th Dalai Lama of Xizang, and the Executive Yuan allocated 400,000 yuan for the needs of the bed-sitting ceremony. Preparations for the succession of the 14th Dalai Lama began at the end of 1933, when Xizang was resigning the Living Buddha. He strengthened ties with the central government and effectively cracked down on pro-British forces in the local government of Xizang; At the same time, personnel were sent to search for the Dalai Lama's reincarnation "soul boy". In the winter of 1938, three "soul boys" who succeeded the 14th Dalai Lama were found and reported to the National Government, hoping that the Central Committee would follow the practice and send personnel to Tibet to preside over the confirmation of the golden vase drawing of the 14th Dalai Lama. In March 1939, the National Government sent Wu Zhongxin, chairman of the Mongolian-Tibetan Committee, to Lhasa, where he was warmly welcomed. At this time, the candidate "soul boy" changed. Only one of the original three "Lingzhong" remains. This child's name is Lamu Dengzhu. He came from a Tibetan peasant family and was extremely smart.
