The National Museum of China was established on February 28, 2003.
The Chinese National Museum was established on the basis of the former Chinese Historical Museum and the former Chinese Revolutionary Museum. The Chinese National Museum was officially established on 28 February 2003 and belongs directly to the Ministry of Culture. Comrade Jiang Zemin wrote the title of the Chinese National Museum. The Chinese National Museum was located on the east side of Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing, on the southern side of Dongguan Avenue, with the people's congress hall in relation to its layout. The building was opened in November 1958, and was built simultaneously with the people's congress hall in 1959. The Chinese National Museum is one of the ten largest buildings of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the country in 1959. On 1 October, the same year, the Chinese National Museum began to welcome visitors on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the National Square,
