Today, 49 years ago, on 18 January 1976 (Lunar Calendar 18 December 1975) the American physician Whipper died. Whipper (28 August 1878 ¨C 18 January 1976) discovered that liver cells had an unlimited regeneration capacity at an early age; and later discovered that the best foods for treating anemia were liver foods and iron-containing foods, and was clinically confirmed. For this, he and the three Menott and Murphy shared the 1934 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine.
