From the 1950s to the 1980s, United Nations Radio broadcasted daily in 33 languages to more than 160 countries and regions. Today, in addition to broadcasting worldwide in six official languages and in Portuguese and Swaziland, United Nations Radio also produces weekly broadcasts in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Urdu.
