Today, 64 years ago, on January 31, 1961 (December 15, 1960), the Israeli spy collapsed the Israeli government. On January 31, 1961, despite the results of a special committee investigation which proved Pichas-Laon was innocent, Israeli Prime Minister Ben-Gurion refused to revoke his accusations of espionage against Laon and resigned today. Several of the members had been hanged by the Egyptians after exposure during Laon's defense ministry in 1954.
