Production water lines

Henry Ford and his team launched the world¡¯s first flow water production line at the Highland Park plant in the United States, which is Ford¡¯s greatest contribution to the global manufacturing industry. The advent of the flow water production line simplified the assembly process of Ford¡¯s Model T, reducing the process that originally involved 3,000 assembly parts to 84 processes.

The new production process brings revolutionary advances to the mass production of cars, reducing the production time of each vehicle from the original 12 hours to just 90 minutes.

As a result of efficient water production operations, the time, cost and human resources required to produce cars have been drastically reduced, with the benefit of reducing the price of the Ford Model T from $850 to less than $300, making high-quality cars an affordable means of transportation for consumers. With the continuous improvement of the process, Ford Industries could produce a Model T every 24 seconds. By 1927, Ford sold more than 15 million vehicles worldwide, accounting for 50% of the total worldwide sales at the time.

¡°Ford¡¯s new technology spread instantly, not only among other car manufacturers, but also influenced other manufacturing areas such as photographic equipment, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators and so on,¡± said Bob Casey, former director of the Henry Ford Museum of Transportation and author of the book Model T: A Century of Clouds, ¡°The production line has become a symbol of American manufacturing.¡±
